1. About us

Cresvern ("Cresvern", "we", "us" or "our") is a design-led software studio. This Privacy Policy applies to the website at www.cresvern.com (the "Site") and describes how we handle personal information collected through it. We are the controller of the personal information you provide through the Site.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you complete our contact form, we collect the details you choose to provide, which may include:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your phone number (optional);
• your company name (optional);
• the type of service and approximate budget you select (optional); and
• the content of your message.

Information collected automatically

To protect the contact form from spam and abuse, we record the IP address from which an enquiry is submitted and include it in the enquiry we receive. Our hosting and security providers may also process limited technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) to deliver and secure the Site.

We also use Azure Application Insights to understand how the Site is used and to keep it fast and reliable. It records analytics such as the pages you view, referring links, approximate location and IP address, device and browser type, and page-load performance. This information is used in aggregate to improve the Site; we do not use it to identify you personally or for advertising.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to your enquiry and communicate with you about your project;
• provide, maintain and secure the Site;
• prevent, detect and address spam, fraud and abuse of our contact form; and
• comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable data-protection law requires it, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (which you give by submitting the form), our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and keeping the Site secure, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

5. Cookies and tracking

The Site itself does not set advertising cookies. Some services we use may set cookies or similar technologies: our spam-protection provider (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use them to verify that a submission is genuine, and our analytics provider (Azure Application Insights) sets first-party cookies to recognise repeat visits and group page views into sessions. We do not use these for advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Service providers and third parties

We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Site, and only as needed for them to perform their services. These currently include:

• Microsoft Azure, website hosting, email delivery (used to send us your enquiry) and usage analytics (Azure Application Insights);
• Cloudflare, the Turnstile service that protects our form from bots;
• Google Fonts, serves the fonts used on the Site, which may involve your browser requesting font files from Google.

These providers may process data on servers located in various countries. We do not otherwise disclose your information except where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

7. International transfers

Because our providers operate globally, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where such transfers occur, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards for your information.

8. Data retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on your request, and to maintain a record of our communications, after which we delete or anonymise it. Technical logs used for security are retained only for a short period.

9. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and keeping credentials on the server rather than in the page. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@cresvern.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes take effect when we post the revised version on this page, with an updated "Last updated" date.
